Deputy Grand Master R:. W:. L. “George” Aladro

My Brothers,

Our 182nd Annual Communication has come and gone, I pray that those in attendance got back home safe. It is always a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones. As a Grand Lodge Officer, this is a busy time, but it is also an opportunity to spend some time with my Brothers and their inspiring conversation.

I would like to “thank you” for the opportunity you have given me to serve you and this Noble Craft as your Deputy Grand Master it is a very humbling experience and one that I truly cherish for the honor you have bestowed on me.

This last year we excelled in many fronts such as the Cardiac Research Institute, Campaign for Life “ Every Heart Beat Counts” of Masonic Medical Research Laboratories, The Florida Child ID, Masonic Leadership Training and Masonic Education to name a few. The unified efforts that you the Craft have put together to make these committees a success were simply over the top. Congratulations to everyone, you made it possible.

We look forward to another exciting year, we are continuing to work with the York Rite Bodies to develop an education program that will bring this information to your home via computer so that you may take part in an internet course to improve your knowledge and expand your horizons in Masonry.

We are also working with the Shrine in Florida as well as International to bring these two bodies closer together and assist their philanthropic work. This April 28, 2012 there will be a state wide Spring Ceremonial and we are going to have the Imperial Potentate as well as the Grand Master at one of the Shrine Temples in Florida to participate with the Shrine Masons of that area, once again a first in the State or at least since, I can remember.

This year as Deputy Grand Master, my primary responsibility is Chairman of the Board of Trustees. As such, I ask my Brothers to remember the Masonic Home, to find a place in your heart for the noble sacrifices from the Masons of yesteryears, and of today, but more importantly for the Masons of tomorrow. We have an obligation to do our best for our Brothers, wives and widows, I ask you to join with me in making this year a banner year for the Masonic Home.

If you know of any Brother, wife or Widow that can use the Masonic Home please allow us to provide them with our services, we have the finest care available in the State. Your Masonic Home is a “FIVE STAR” rated facility, a designation very few homes for the aged have, and we have achieved that designation for some years now.

Come and join us in an atmosphere of Brotherly Love and Affection, where Masonic Principles and Way of Life is practiced every day, where your days can be filled with wholesome fun and activities. Our Chef and staff prepare delicious meals for your nourishment. Where you can enjoy a movie, a singing chorus or simply petting a dog. Church services are available to you at the Home or you can visit one locally. Want to go shopping no problem they schedule shopping trips every month and you can even go fishing from our pier. There is even a Lodge on the premises and trips available to other Allied and Appendant groups.

It may be a little ways from your home, but you will soon make new friends because your Brothers and Sisters at the Home are friendly and a fun group to be with and enjoy a relaxing time with no cares, or worries, because that is our commitment to you. Have any questions please call the Home or me. Let us assist you whether in your home or ours. Allow us to fulfill our promises to you.

In conclusion, let us continue to serve you through our Masonic Home and personally if I can be of any assistance, remember I am at your service. God Bless you, your family, this great Fraternity, our service men and women wheresoever dispersed and the United States of America.

Your Brother and humble Servant

J. L. “George” Aladro
